Querida Mamãe -- The hate-love relationship between daughter and mother. Eva Vilma stars and José Wilker directs this Maria Adelaide Amaral's story. In São Paulo.

Rastro Atrás -- Written by Jorge Andrade and directed by Eduardo Tolentino. A writer goes back to his hometown searching for his roots and a meaning in life. In Rio.

Todo Mundo Sabe que Todo Mundo Sabe -- Another play from prolific and multitalented Miguel Falabella who also directs it. A socialite struggles to avoid economic disaster. In Rio.

O Convento -- Portugal/France -- 1995 -- Catherine Deneuve stars on Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira story about a couple trying to prove that Shakespeare was from Spain.

La Flor de Mi Secreto (A Flor de Meu Segredo) -- Spain -- 1995 -- Pedro Almodóvar directs this comedy about a writer unable to write three novels she has promised her publisher due to a matrimonial crisis.

Mario, Maria e Mario (Mário, Maria e Mário) -- Italy -- 1993 -- The fall of Russia wrecks havoc at the life of a socialist couple, husband and wife are communist militants. Ettore Scola directed.

Mushrooms (Cogumelos: Gostosos de Morrer) -- Australia -- 1994 -- Two friendly widows having a hard time to make ends meet are looking for something to do. One decides to steal, the other to take care of a boarding house. Directed by Alan Madden.

O Quatrilho -- Brazil -- 1995 -- Fábio Barreto directs Patrícia Pillar, Glória Pires, Bruno Campos, and Alexander Paternorst in this dramatic story of two couples against the morals of the time. The action takes place among Italian immigrants in the south of Brazil.

Sábado (Saturday) -- Brazil -- 1994 -- Comedy directed by Ugo Georgetti with Otávio Augusto and Maria Padilha. A group of friends and what happens on a weekend in a São Paulo old building.

Supercolosso, o Filme (Supercolosso, the Film) -- Brazil -- 1995 -- Colosso TV's dog workers go out to the streets for an adventure with human beings. Based on TV Globo's child cartoon. Luiz Ferré directs.

Terra Estrangeira (Foreign Land) -- Brazil -- 1995 -- Brazilian flees to Portugal amid economic turmoil in Brazil during the Collor de Mello presidency. Directed by Walter Salles Júnior.
